Mechanical cooling

SWEP BPHEs can enhance the efficiency of any data center chiller system. They can be used as evaporators, condensers, or economizers, and can be placed in multiple positions simultaneously. All units can be optimized for use with natural and low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants.

Different plate pattern

Low pressure drop, minimal refrigerant

SWEP BPHEs feature innovative technologies such as our AsyMatrixTM plate pattern, which maximizes system performance by delivering optimal heat transfer while reducing pressure drops and refrigerant charge; and True Dual, which delivers optimal performance at both full and half load.

Mechanical cooling technology

Mechanical cooling uses chiller technology, which can operate in both air- and water-cooled systems. Chillers can be connected to Computer Room Air Handling (CRAH) systems and/or provide facility water for the CDU in a liquid-cooled system.

Are designed to enhance the efficiency of chiller and heat pump systems, with innovative plate and distribution technologies.

Low pressure-drops
Mean that SWEP brazed plate heat exchangers work efficiently, even with small, energy-saving pumps.

As a chiller component
A SWEP BPHE can work as an evaporator or condenser up to 500 kW. SWEP BPHEs can be used as economizers in chillers up to 2000 kW.

Chillers can be optimized
For a wide range of low-Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants, including R32, R454B, R1234ze, R290, R744,and R717.

Data center cooling - Mechanical cooling

SWEP has several units that are ideal for evaporator, condenser, SGHX, and economizer duties in mechanical data center cooling systems. The D190 and FI190 deliver exceptional performance and cost-efficiency thanks to the newest SWEP AsyMatrixTM plate pattern. The FTW85AS, featuring Hypertwain TM technology and the newest SWEP AsyMatrixTM plate pattern, works as a True Dual evaporator, evaporator, and evaporator/condenser in reversible systems.

Integrated cooling components

As a chiller component, a BPHE from SWEP can work as an evaporator or condenser up to 500 kW. SWEP BPHEs can be used as economizers in chillers up to 2000 kW. We offer a wide range of capacities, with flexible plate configurations and a variety of ports and connectors.
