Efficient water heating at Recanto das Cachoerias National Park - SWEP and Ecogetec

The heat exchangers: Four SWEP B85Hx30 models were installed to heat water in changing rooms; seven B120TH models were used to heat three swimming pools.

Brazil is a country of diverse landscapes, ecosystems, and cultures, making it a desirable tourist destination. A favorable climate also plays a role, luring both domestic and international tourists to the country’s many water parks and resorts. One such resort is Recanto das Cachoeiras Park, located in Brotas-SP. The Park boasts waterfalls, trails, and panoramic views. It also offers horseback riding, a games room and changing room, as well as a 600 m³ infinity pool, a children’s pool, an adult pool, and a whirlpool, all of which rely on Ecogetec water-heating solutions.

The role of SWEP brazed plate heat exchangers

For the Parque Recanto das Cachoeiras project, a total of eleven (11) SWEP brazed plate heat exchangers were installed throughout the property. Four (4) B85Hx30 models were used to heat the water in the changing rooms for bathing and seven (7) B120TH models were used to heat three swimming pools on the premises.
SWEP’s B85 model is a highly efficient heat exchanger with a higher thermal performance than any comparable product. It is the perfect choice for high-performance condensers and demanding heat transfer requirements. The large ports enable it to cope with high capacities.

The SWEP B120T model has been specially developed to operate in demanding heating and industrial applications, typically water-water applications, and oil coolers. The product has contributed to the rapid switch to brazed plate heat exchangers from traditional gasket plate heat exchangers and shell-and-tube solutions. Both models are well suited for the efficient heating solution required for this park.
