SWEP All-Stainless technology is a true problem solver for demanding media and high temperatures. It offers exceptional corrosion resistance and cleanliness and eliminates the possibility of Cu leaching, making it suitable for use with aggressive media such as ammonia, deionized water, and fluids with a high sulfur content.
SWEP All-Stainless technology delivers unparalleled safety and a longer operational lifetime and is the preferred choice for applications where hygiene is of utmost importance, such as pharmaceutical processing equipment.
Robustness and durability makes SWEP All-Stainless technology the best choice for high-temperature, high-pressure applications—from 200°C up to 350°C. Specific units can handle pressures up to 43 bar. Their small area footprint makes them suitable for systems where space is limited. Plate packages in the All-Stainless range can be customized to meet your specific requirements.
The brazing material and channel plates in SWEP’s All-Stainless range are 100% stainless steel, making them especially suitable for systems with aggressive media, where contamination must be avoided at all costs. They are brazed with an iron-based, copper-free filler material that mimics the composition of the plates. This specially developed composition offers superior corrosion resistance and makes the SWEP All-Stainless range suitable for all types of aggressive media.
In applications where leaching must be avoided, SWEP All-Stainless technology makes the ideal replacement for traditional copper- and nickel-brazed heat exchangers.
SWEP All-Stainless technology is extensively tested to ensure optimal performance, quality, and durability. Test parameters include thermal and hydraulic performance, corrosion and leaching, mechanical and thermal fatigue, pressure, and leakage. SWEP All-Stainless technology combines high resistance to corrosion, low risk of contamination, and high thermal strength in a single BPHE.

Drying and compressing biogas, which has a high sulfur content, places extreme demands on system components, including heat exchangers. Combining highly efficient heat transfer with excellent corrosion resistance and a small footprint, the SWEP All-Stainless range is ideal for these applications.
Although copper-brazed heat exchangers are sometimes used successfully in oil cooling, aggressive oils may trigger leaching that results in the need for frequent oil changes, which is time-consuming and costly. The SWEP All-Stainless range offers compact solutions that deliver extremely efficient heat transfer, while completely eliminating the risk of copper leaching.
Ammonia is aggressive to copper. In systems that use ammonia as a refrigerant, traditional copper-brazed heat exchangers are at high risk of extensive corrosion that leads to system failure. SWEP All-Stainless brazed plate heat exchangers are perfectly suited for these systems. Their robust construction makes them the ideal solution in various ammonia applications, including demanding cascade applications.
Deionized water is a highly aggressive solvent that is corrosive to most metals, including copper. In applications that use deionized water, the SWEP All-Stainless range can prevent corrosion and prolong the lifetime of your system.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing demands extremely hygienic conditions. 100% stainless steel heat exchangers are the preferred choice for this application, as well as for botanical process industries and other applications with strict purity standards
Because SWEP BPHEs have no gaskets or loose parts, they can be cleaned without disassembly. In-place cleaning keeps maintenance to a minimum and avoids excessive labor costs and expensive downtime.
