Brazed plate technology is similar to plate-and-frame technology. However, because there are no gaskets or frames, nearly 95% of material in the exchanger is dedicated to transferring heat, making it extremely efficient to operate. A highly turbulent flow makes it possible to make the most of even small temperature differences.
Cost-effective
The life-cycle cost of a BPHE is nearly half that of a gasketed PHE with the same capacity. Brazed plate heat exchangers save energy, maintenance, spare parts, and installation time.
Compact and flexible
SWEP BPHEs are easy to fit into your system design – as well as through standard doors and elevators. If you need a large installation, it can be constructed unit by unit and expanded as necessary to meet increasing demand.

Self-cleaning
Thanks to highly turbulent flows, our brazed plate heat exchangers are self-cleaning in most applications. Where there is a high risk of fouling or scaling, we recommend cleaning in place.
