SWEP BPHEs for windmills

SWEPs brazed plate heat exchangers (BPHE) are a core component of windmills, where they are used to cool the lubricating oil. Efficient cooling helps extend the lifetime of the lubricating oil, while also reducing wear and tear on the windmill components, lengthening the windmill’s lifespan and minimizing the need for maintenance.

SWEP BPHEs for solar systems

SWEP brazed plate heat exchangers are a key component in many solar heating applications. They make it easy to create a clear temperature stratification, without thermal convection in the accumulator tank. They are extremely efficient, even in duties with very small temperature differences, reducing electricity consumption

Sourcing municipal waste heat for district energy

Heat pumps can also be used in district heating. Currently 80% of Europe’s re-usable waste heat is channeled into district energy systems. With heat pumps and SWEP BPHEs the amount of energy available for re-use can be further increased, helping reduce the demand for fossil fuels.
